Edward H. Kolb, M.D.

Dr. Edward Kolb is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon who has been practicing in Central Illinois for the past 21 years. Dr. Kolb did his undergraduate training at the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana and completed his Medical School and Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Rush Medical College in Chicago. The Rush Medical College Orthopedic Surgery Program has consistently been ranked in the top 10 Orthopedic Surgery programs in the country and currently provides care for many of Chicago’s sports teams including the Chicago Bulls and White Sox. Dr. Kolb has undergone outstanding Orthopedic Surgery training at Rush by many of the world’s leaders in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Kolb has been the only orthopedic surgeon in the Bloomington/Normal area to achieve 99th percentile in patient satisfaction by a nationally recognized organization awarded in both 2007 and 2008 by the OSF St. Joseph Hospital system and continues to provide the highest quality and compassionate care to his patients. Dr. Kolb has presented numerous lectures in Illinois to organizations and universities regarding various topics and cutting edge techniques in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Kolb is the President of the Ireland Grove Center for Surgery in Bloomington, IL.  At Orthopedics of Illinois, you are treated like family.

Physician’s Assistants and Nurse Practitioners

David Kieser, CNP

David Kieser, FNP-BC, ENP-C

Tater was born and raised in Bloomington/Normal. Drawn to healthcare he left the family farm and began working at Carle BroMenn Medical Center (CBMC). He has been there for the past 28 years. He graduated cum laude receiving his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University (MCN @ ISU) in 2000. He also received the Alumni Award for Clinical Excellence. After working as a nurse in the Emergency Department for 5 years, he returned to MCN @ ISU to pursue his Master of Science in Nursing degree. While continuing to work full-time, he completed his MSN degree in 2007. Upon passing his national board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a family nurse practitioner, he began working as a nurse practitioner in the Emergency Department at CBMC. He also obtained his Emergency Nurse Practitioner Board Certification in May 2018 as he continues to moonlight in the ER and walk in clinic for CBMC.  He was recruited by Dr. Kolb in October of 2010.  He thrives in caring for others and feels grateful to be a part of the OrthoIL team. Tater enjoys spending time with his wife, Haley and their four children. Among many things, he enjoys the outdoors, staying active, farming and photography.  Together, Haley and Tater run Roots Ranch Farm. God, family and friends are very important to him.

Shaun Rudicil PA

Shaun Rudicil, PA-C

Shaun hails from the Bloomington-Normal area and graduated from Illinois State University with a major in Athletic Training. After spending a year as an intern in the Sports Medicine department of the Chicago Bears, he was accepted into the Physician Assistant program at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago, where he earned his Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. Since joining Dr. Kolb’s team in 2003, Shaun has thrived in the field of general orthopedics, building lasting relationships with his patients and delivering exceptional care. Outside of work, he cherishes time with his family, including his wife Kristen and their two daughters, Reagan and Riley.

Julie Maley, CNP

Julie Maley, APRN, FNP-BC

Julie joined Orthopedics of Illinois in January, 2024 as a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, with 20 years of experience in Orthopedics. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Julie is grateful to be a part of the OrtholL team after working with an Orthopedic surgeon the previous 20 years in Decatur. Julie’s experience has included working in both the office setting and assisting in orthopedic surgery. She continues to work in both areas for Ortholl. Julie’s education began at Millikin University in Decatur, IL where she graduated Cum Laude, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked at Decatur Memorial Hospital in the Medical-Surgical Unit before returning to school at Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University, where she obtained her Nurse Practitioner Degree. Julie received the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2009 from Millikin University for her accomplished career in Orthopedics. Julie enjoys Orthopedics because it gives her the ability to change patients’ lives by relieving their pain and enabling them to be mobile and enjoy life to its fullest potential. She strives to take time with her patient visits and provide quality care. Julie enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Both of Julie’s children graduated from Illinois State University, she and her family enjoy the Bloomington-Normal Community. The Maley family enjoys travel, hiking, and spending time together.

Neil received his BS from Illinois State University in 1997 and his MPT from St. Ambrose University in 2000. He completed his DPT at St. Ambrose University in 2009. Neil joined the therapy staff in 2005. He enjoys boating, water skiing and spending time with his wife, Karin, and 2 children.

Julie graduated from Illinois State University with a major in Biology/Pre-Med and a minor in Exercise Science. She earned her DPT in May 2009 from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO and became a member of the OrthoIllinois physical therapy team in June 2009. Julie is passionate about her career and enjoys playing a pivotal role in her patients’ success. Time with family and friends, watching her children play sports, and golf are a few of her favorite things to do. Beth Henderson, PTA/MT

Beth Henderson, PTA/LMT

Beth has been with the Orthopedics of Illinois team since 2011 after receiving her PTA degree from Illinois Central College. She has also been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2005. Beth enjoys spending time with her dog, traveling, playing pickleball and joining friends for a game of Euchre when not at work.

Brandy Redman, OTR/L

Brandy Redman, OTR/L Occupational Therapist

Brandy received her Bachelors of Science degree in Occupational Therapy along with her Bachelors in Psychology from Saint Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa in 1999. Brandy joined Orthopedics of Illinois in 2013. Brandy is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and enjoys seeing patients with a wide variety of diagnoses from the Shoulder down to the Hand.

Antoinette Mangina, Physical Therapy Assistant

Antoinette (Toni) received her PTA degree from Heartland Community College in 2023. She then joined the OrthoIllinois team that same year. Outside of work Toni enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family, baking, and taking her dog on hikes.

Kira Schlabach, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Kira received her OTA degree from Parkland College in 2023, she then joined Orthopedics of Illinois later that year. She was born and raised in Champaign IL where she now resides with her husband. Kira enjoys traveling, meeting friends for coffee, and training for triathlons in her free time.
